Inter Milan Don’t Need To Make A Major Sale To Sign €20M Rated Brazil Star

Inter Milan do not need to make a major sale in order to afford the €20 million fee it will take to sign Athletico Paranaense keeper Bento.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInter1908. The newspaper report that a series of smaller sales will suffice in order for Inter to sign the Brazilian.

It is true that Inter will have to fund any signings that they make this summer with sale.

It will be a “net zero” transfer window for the Nerazzurri. In other words, the club do not have to turn a profit as in the summer of 2021 – but there will not be any extra cash on hand.

That means that there will naturally not be much wiggle room for Inter to pay big fees for players.

This would be different, of course, if Inter were to sell one of the top players in their squad.

Were a player like Nicolo Barella, Alessandro Bastoni, or Lautaro Martinez to depart, it would be for a massive fee. And the Nerazzurri would reinvest that, unlike with the fees that they received for Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku.

However, Inter are determined not to lose any of the top players in their squad.

Whilst the benefits of keeping the core of key starters from the team that just won the Serie A title in dominant fashion together are fairly obvious, it does mean that Inter must rein in their ambitions as far as signings goes.

Inter Can Afford Bento Without Making Big Money Sale

One player who is a major target for Inter is Athletico Paranaense keeper Bento.

The Nerazzurri are ready to go all-in on the Brazilian. He is the player who they see as the future in goal.

Therefore, Inter would be ready to spend a decent amount of money on Bento.

And the 24-year-old’s club Athletico reportedly want no less than €20 million to sell the player.

This is a reflection of the fact that Bento is a full Brazilian international.

There is also interest in Bento from teams in the Premier League.

Nevertheless, Tuttosport report, that does not mean that that money will have to come from sacrificing a top player in the squad.
